Having introduced a plethora of some of the most talented and versatile producers working within Drum & Bass today, it makes sense in 2013 – a full five years after Mainframe’s debut release – that the label should simultaneously revisit and re-imagine a four-piece set of tracks that have represented in full our sound since the very beginning. Reading like a who’s-who of forward-thinkers whilst presenting both debuting and returning artists, the Remix EP is no mere retrospective: four tracks varying wildly in composition and tone, a true display of production excellence from a collective at the height of their respective technical abilities.
